A gift card that can be used across Knowsley’s three town centres has been launched in time for Christmas.
The Knowsley Town Centres Gift Card can be used for purchases in the majority of town centre businesses including restaurants, fashion outlets and beauty salons.
Around 70 businesses have already signed up to participate in the gift card programme across Kirkby, Huyton and Prescot, with more expected in the coming weeks. This includes participating market stalls with a debit/credit card reader.
The Knowsley Town Centres Gift Card works just like any major high street gift card and is a great gifting idea for those hard to buy for family members this festive season. The card is completely transferable across all businesses within the programme and is backed by Mastercard.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Knowsley Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “The gift card programme benefits everyone in the borough. By treating yourself or a loved one to a Knowsley Gift Card you can access an abundance of retailers, bars, restaurants, attractions and other leisure and hospitality businesses. At the same time you are providing a boost to local jobs and businesses.
“Our town centres are diversifying with new cafes, bars and restaurants opening their doors. With the Knowsley Town Centres Gift Card you can do your shopping or get your hair cut during the day and then put it towards a meal during the evening.”
The new Knowsley Town Centres Gift Card is part of the award winning Town and City Gift Cards programme from Miconex. Managing director of Miconex Colin Munro said:
